Spacetoon Go Brings ‘Prince of Tennis’ to the Middle East in Arabic

The Japanese anime series Prince of Tennis was released in the Middle East, dubbed in Arabic, exclusively on Spacetoon’s online streaming service, Spacetoon Go.

The series, which originally aired in Japan in 2001, is based on Takeshi Konomi’s popular sports manga. The story focused on Tokyo and centered around Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy who attended Seishun Academy, a school known for its strong tennis club and talented players.

Shortly after joining the school, Ryoma quickly defeated numerous upperclassmen, securing himself a spot as one of the team’s regulars. In pursuit of their ultimate goal of winning the National Middle School Tennis Championship, the team members made new friends while learning and mastering increasingly complex techniques. Ryoma also began to develop his own style of tennis and eventually realized what the sport truly meant to him.

Spacetoon Group ensured that the Arabic version retained the original character names and carefully translated dialogue from Japanese.

The Arabic dub also featured well-known voice actors familiar to Spacetoon fans, including Amira Huthaify (voice of Ayumi Yoshida in Detective Conan), who voiced the protagonist Ryoma Echizen.

The first episode of Prince of Tennis was released on May 2 on Spacetoon Go. The platform also offered popular Arabic-dubbed anime such as Dragon Ball Super, Made in Abyss, Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On, Detective Conan, Hunter x Hunter (2011), and Kuroko’s Basket.
