Spacetoon Pictures, which distributed animation movies in MENA, recently announced a collaboration with IMPS to premiere The Smurfs: Amazing Adventures on February 24 in 3DCGs animation style across GCC cinemas.

The film ran for about 90 minutes, featuring the funniest and most valuable episodes from the new series. It was available in both Arabic dubbed and English versions.

Speaking about the release, Kamel Weiss, Director of Business Strategy Development at Spacetoon, said: “The Smurfs is a multigenerational title that has been watched by kids for 40 years, educating them about the true values of building a healthy society. We were thrilled to be the first to organize this event, releasing the new Smurfs series in cinemas across GCC.”

Spacetoon had previously announced the comeback of The Smurfs to MENA after 40 years since its first run, with a brand-new series introducing new characters and original inspiring stories. The series premiered on Nickelodeon last Fall.

Spacetoon also revealed a new distribution deal between Toy Pro and Jazwares, the new worldwide master toy for The Smurfs brand.
