Spacetoon Launches Game On, a Premier Gaming Show for the Arab World

Spacetoon partnered with Dubai-based content agency WAVIT to co-produce its latest live production, Game On, a gaming show broadcast on the young adult block Space Power on Spacetoon TV and streamed on Spacetoon Go.

Game On was the first show of its kind in the Arab region, designed to combine educational insights with entertainment, targeting the growing community of video gamers. The debut season featured 13 episodes, with popular gamers and content creators from across the MENA region hosting the show. Episodes covered gaming news and trends, game challenges, interviews with top industry leaders, and in-depth game reviews. Global and local gaming and tech brands participated, showcasing their newest releases directly to fans through premium TV content.

Filmed at Spacetoon Studios in Dubai Media City, Game On aired weekly on Fridays at 10:00 PM during the Space Power block, while Spacetoon Go streamed episodes one day in advance.

The launch comes amid research from Research & Markets showing that nearly half of the MENA population is under 25, growing up as digital natives with gaming playing a major role in entertainment. The report also forecasted revenues in the region to reach $3.14BN by 2025 and highlighted government support in countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE for game localisation, local development, and hosting major e-sports tournaments.
